How does the ViscaCare 14-day free trial work?

Every ViscaCare plan starts with a 14-day free trial. You register, get full access to your Digital Health Centre — Ask Mia, your health guides for 170+ countries and online Doctor access — and the membership itself is not charged during the trial. Your first payment is taken at the end of day 14 unless you cancel before then. An online Doctor appointment costs €39 at any time, including during the trial, and is charged only when you use one. There is no cancellation fee.

Can I cancel ViscaCare during the 14-day cooling-off period?

Yes. Under EU and UK consumer law you have a 14-day right to withdraw from your ViscaCare membership without giving a reason, and we honour that in full. You can cancel from your profile or by contacting us using the model withdrawal form in our Terms of Service. Cancelling in that window costs you nothing — there is no cancellation or withdrawal fee. The only thing still payable is the €39 price of any online Doctor appointment you actually used, because that service was delivered at your request.

What happens if I cancel before the 90-day minimum period ends?

ViscaCare memberships carry a one-time minimum period of 90 days, running from the day your membership starts and including your 14-day free trial and cooling-off period. It applies once only — it never renews or resets. If you cancel inside those first 90 days you remain liable for the remaining monthly payments in that period. This does not affect your statutory 14-day cooling-off rights. After the initial 90 days your membership continues on a rolling monthly basis and you can cancel any time with no further liability.

Can I pause my ViscaCare membership instead of cancelling?

Accepted Answer

Yes, once your one-time 90-day minimum period has ended. You can pause for one, two or three months. While paused you pay a reduced holding fee of €5 / £5 a month instead of your full membership, which keeps your health record securely stored for you. Access to the member app, including Ask Mia and online Doctor booking, is closed while you are paused. Your full membership and full access restart automatically at the end of the pause at your usual monthly price, with no new minimum period, and you can restart sooner or cancel at any time from your profile. Rewards you have already earned are kept; new ones do not build up while paused.

What loyalty rewards do I get for staying with ViscaCare?

Every plan earns a reward after each block of three subscription payments — on months 4, 8 and 12, so three a year. On the You plan you get €10 off an online Doctor appointment. On Family and Carer you get a completely free online Doctor appointment, pooled across the people on your membership. Rewards appear in your app automatically and are applied at booking, so there is nothing to claim.

An online Doctor appointment costs €39 and is charged only when you use one — at any time, including during your 14-day free trial. It is not bundled into the monthly membership, so you never pay for appointments you do not need. Loyalty rewards earned on months 4, 8 and 12 reduce or cover that price.

No, and the difference matters. Ask Mia is your Digital Health Companion: it offers general guidance, healthcare system information, country-specific costs and cover, and help understanding your own records — not medical advice or diagnosis. When you need clinical care, ViscaCare connects you to real, regulated online Doctors through our clinical partner Health Hero, who can diagnose, prescribe where clinically appropriate, refer you and issue medical certificates.

Who are the doctors behind ViscaCare and where can I use them?

Online Doctor consultations are delivered by Health Hero, a regulated clinical provider, using doctors registered with the relevant medical authorities. Your membership gives you online Doctor access, 7 days a week, across Ireland, the UK and Europe, so your care travels with you rather than being tied to a single postcode or practice list.

Are Care Partner appointments and blood tests included in my membership?

Accepted Answer

No. Your membership covers online Doctor consultations, prescriptions where clinically appropriate, referrals and medical certificates. Care Partner pathways — female and male health, health screening and blood tests — are charged separately by the clinic or practitioner. Where we can, ViscaCare negotiates member-only pricing, so you typically pay less than the public rate.
